Edit Database

Overview

The Edit Database feature lets you view, add, edit, and delete records directly in an open iPool system database. For the full reference, see Edit Database.

What It Is

The Database Editor uses staged editing: changes accumulate in memory and are only written to the database file when you click Save. You can edit cell values directly, add empty rows, duplicate rows, delete rows, and undo or redo any change. Until you save, the file on disk is not modified.

When to Use It

Use Edit Database when you need to update plant parameters, correct field values, or add/remove individual records in an iPool system database (.db, .sqlite, or .sqlite3). Typical cases include updating unit capacity, fuel type, or SRMC values, or resolving missing-in-db errors one record at a time.
